Hello! My name is Eetu. I have a blog called moonwriting, where I write personal essays about technology, privacy, and blogging. My background is in the humanities, so I aim to provide a perspective that goes beyond technical discussions. For me, writing is a way to explore my thoughts and get them out into the world, hoping that they resonate with someone.

Unlike most decisions in my life, starting my blog was quite spontaneous. After reading a blog post a person had shared on a forum, I began wondering if I should have my own space for writing.

At the time, it felt like the university assignments were the only writing I had done for years, and the thought of exploring topics outside that realm excited me. As a person passionate about privacy and technology, it felt natural to make this the blog's focus. These days, I also write pieces discussing my relationship with blogging, as I enjoy shedding light on my creative process and the struggles that come with writing a blog.

I was only familiar with the more corporate blogging sites, so you can imagine my excitement when I discovered the world beyond them. I chose Mataroa, but switched to Pagecord this year.

moonwriting became my blog's name as it sounded cool and reminded me of all the sleepless nights during my university years when I was writing essays. I see it as a nod to this time in my life that I hold dear.

I maintain a list of topics I may want to write about, while keeping my eyes open for anything interesting. I often get ideas for future articles or sentence structures when I'm not writing; these moments can be the spark I need to begin another writing session.
